Window Tinting

Window tint training in San Diego

Learn to tint cars properly in two weekend days, on real glass, next to installers who tint for paying customers.

Film choice, glass prep, cutting, shrinking and install, side windows through back glass. You leave knowing what is legal in California, how to fix the problems that make tint fail, and how to price the job.

What you learn in the tint bay

Eight skills over one weekend. You work each one on real glass before you move to the next.

01

Know your film

The main film types, how they differ in heat rejection and clarity, and which one fits the car and the customer.

02

California tint law

What is allowed on the windshield, front side windows and rear glass in California, and how to explain it to customers.

03

Prep the glass

Clean and prep glass so nothing gets trapped under the film, and remove old, failing film without damaging the glass or defroster lines.

04

Hand-cut vs. plotter

When to cut by hand and when a plotter pattern saves time, and how to get a clean edge either way.

05

Side windows

Roll-down and fixed side glass, top-edge finishing and getting film tucked cleanly under the seals.

06

Shrink the back glass

Heat-shrink film to curved rear glass so it lays flat without fingers, creases or lifted edges.

07

Full vehicle install

Put it all together on a complete car, in the order and pace a working shop uses.

08

Troubleshoot and price

Fix bubbles, contamination and lifting edges, then price tint jobs so the work pays.

Tint real cars, not practice glass

Classes run in the same shop that tints, wraps and protects cars for paying customers. You see how a real tint job is staged, how long each window actually takes, and what the finished car has to look like.
